Video 4: Some More Tips
Below is a summary of some of the best practices for speakers:
- Make sure to install the latest version of Zoom on your computer
- Make sure to have a headphone ready to use prior to your sessions
- Set up and test your video and audio in Zoom before your sessions to make sure both video and audio are working well. Again, using a headphone is a must for live streaming
- Lighting is important for a good quality video. Make sure to have some light behind your computer/camera. Sitting in an area with light coming from the window in front of you will be great.
- Minimize your use of internet in your household during your session so you get the maximum bandwidth (if possible use wired internet instead of wireless/wifi)
- Close unnecessary applications and browsers on your computer to maximize bandwidth
- Familiarize yourself with the Zoom environment and sharing your screen (watch the above videos by Kamran)
- During your panel discussion, mute yourself when you are not talking so any background noise from your side is prevented. Unmute yourself when you want to speak.
